Black Sheep- Coal Fired Pizza

BlackSheepPizza

My family gets together every sunday for a meal.  Whether that is home cooked or eaten at a restaurant, it’s a weekly event that I love.  We all love to eat, so it’s a perfect event for us.

The problem is, no one wants to decide where we should eat if we are going to a restaurant.  If no one suggests anything and they ask for my suggestions, 8 out of 10 times I’m going to suggest pizza.  Sometimes I’m shot down, but this time I won.

Black Sheep Coal Fired Pizza was where my heart was set on.  I’d been here before with my fella when it first opened and had fallen in love.  There are two locations, one in Minneapolis and one in Saint Paul, and I’ve only been to the Minneapolis location.

We  are big eaters, so we ordered two pies.  My brother wanted fennel sausage on one, and we went with Fennel Sausage, Hot Salami, Onion & Cracked Green Olives for the second one.  The crust is not too thick, nor too thin.  The sauce has wonderful flavor.  My mom picked out the chopped salad to share, which had hot salami, garbanzo beans, olives, tomatoes, cranberries, cheese and a light vinaigrette.

Despite just eating pizza for lunch, just writing about this makes me want to run out and get more pizza.

The Minneapolis location that I went to can be found here:

600 Washington Avenue North
Minneapolis, MN 55401

The St.Paul location can be found:
512 N. Robert St.
St. Paul, MN 55102

Go!  You can peep the menu here.
