This past weekend, a few of my friends and I went to Des Moines, Iowa for a last round of laughs and many rounds of drinks.
It turns out, Des Moines is a hidden gem. We all had a grand ol’ time. And here’s why.
Packing Procrastination
I’m a procrastinator. Which is weird, because I’m a planner as well. I like planned & calculated pressure. I do not like to be rushed until I have to. I can feel that pressure looming over me and it’s not quite given me the last minute, “Holy-Moley-what-am-I-doing-I-have-to-run-around-like-a-wild-maniac” push yet.
The last time I packed up to leave the country was to go the to Peace Corps where I ended up with a bunch o’crap laid out on my parent’s floor just mere hours before taking off. I’m determined to not let that be the case this time. I’ve started putting together the things I need so I don’t end up making un-wise packing decisions. It’s not going well.
If anyone has packing advice, I sure could use it. Right now, I have a pack of gym socks, ukulele and book light.

Thank Goodness for Libraries
If you’re reading this, I’m going to go ahead and guess that you’ve gotten here by accident, or you’re one of my darling friends.
Either way, WELCOME! My name is Nicole, and I like you already, because you’re reading this.
Since I’ll be moving out to Hong Kong in a week, people have asked if I have a blog, somewhere they can keep up with what’s going on. Turns out, I didn’t have one, so I did what I do best. I headed to the library to learn more about how to set up this thing. Typical.
So, you will be seeing changes because I have a feeling blogging will be an adventure of its own, please stick around and hang with me.
My goal is to give you a glimpse into my life, things I like and things that I think you might like. Thanks for tuning in!
