Mel from H&M Kitchen is back with another of her amazing meals. Take it away, Mel!
Hi there Minnehappiness peeps! I am so glad to be back and share one of my favorite recipes of all time with you. This Chili recipe is my Mom’s and whenever it gets just a tad bit chilly outside I start craving a giant bowl of this stuff. It’s really easy to make and it’s so warming and delicious. Here’s the recipe –
Classic Chili
Ingredients
1 lb. ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 (32 oz.) can chopped tomatoes
1 can Pork n Beans
1 can chili beans
1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
Salt & pepper, to taste
3 tbl. Cumin
4 tbl. Chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco (optional)
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup water
Cheddar cheese, shredded
Crackers
Directions
In a large pot, brown the ground beef and onion until the beef is completely cooked. Drain and place back in pot. Now add the tomatoes, Pork n Beans, chili beans and tomato sauce. Mix and now add the brown sugar and water, stir until completely incorporated. Now add the seasonings. Feel free to adjust the seasoning amounts per your family’s liking. Let the chili simmer for at least 15 minutes before serving. Top with cheese and crackers.
Enjoy!
Yum!
